Little Deacon

Jane, Deacon, & Lynn (Jane's friend) FINALLY made it home from Florida! The Indiana paperwork had some issues making it to Florida and they were stranded for about 4 extra days (sounds tough, huh?). However, for someone who HATES getting sun, hadn't seen her husband for over a week, had a newborn, & ready to get home to normal life, it was actually pretty tough.

I am in denial that Emitt was actually this tiny! I know he was, but its just too hard to believe!

What a blessed little baby! He is a beauty (& has Jane's nose!). We are so thankful this adoption went so smoothly. Michael & Jane would probably appreciate your prayers considering how fast they became parents (the process was only about 3mo). Wow am I thankful for my 9mo pregnancy!

April 15th...YAY!!!

Praise The Lord!

Thanks all for your prayers! Michael and Jane's adoption was finalized today and they were able to take little Deacon Michael back to their condo! It was an emotional day because they really formed a close relationship with the birth parents (Michael & Jane were in the room with the birth mother the whole recovery). Jane said that after the birth mother handed little Deacon to Jane she couldn't stop the tears. They are so excited and so thankful. I will hopefully have pictures soon! Thanks for praying!

Prayer Request...

Hi all! Hope you are having a great week. Isn't this weather great? Anyway, I'd like to pass on a prayer request. Our good friends Michael & Jane are currently in Florida adopting a baby. The little boy will be born C-section this morning at 10:30! They are pretty excited. Unfortunately, the mother has 48 hours to change her mind. However, everything looks pretty positive that it will go through! I was over at Jane's yesterday morning as she was packing and getting ready to leave. Understandably, she is pretty nervous and overwhelmed with everything (I am sure you know the feeling Jami!!). Please pray for the birth mother and Michael and Jane. We can't wait to meet the little guy!! Thank you! Loveya, Sarah

Bloomington...

Mom, Emitt & I spent Mon-Wed in Bloomington. We had a really nice time! Thanks Grandma for your hospitality and thanks U. Denny & A. Bonnie for allowing us to stay at your house. It was wonderful!

Since we took the Towanda exit, we were able to stop it at Marie's and visit. Thanks for the last-minute call Marie..hope we didn't catch you off guard! It was great seeing Maggie, Chet & Drew. Also fun hearing about your Disney trip kiddos! (0:Chelby, Chase, & Aubrey stopped and visited too! It was great to see you guys! Can't believe how big Chase is--and talking so much!
From the looks of this picture, Aubrey & Emitt didn't really enjoy each other's company!
It was great being in Bloomington! Its nice re-connecting with some of the family. Sometimes we can feel out of the loop here in Indiana! Love you all so much!

We had the privilege of keeping the Plattners this past weekend! It was alot of fun! As you can see from the pic, they were pros at putting Emitt to sleep and very patient with his crying! Thanks Aunt Bonnie for the Raisin Bran tip and thanks mom for the breakfast rolls. Man, entertaining is easy!
Aaron, Maisie will never function normally again thanks to you (she did have the last laugh though with the cat hair on your suit!). Bekah, you left your detergent here. I am not going to use it b/c last time I used Tide, Emitt had a little bit of an alergic reaction! So, I'll just wait until you come to Bluffton again (wait, that might be a while). I'll have to get it to you sometime!
We had alot of fun catching up with you guys! Hope you all have a great week!

Hello Hoffmann Cousins! Just wanted to let you know that it looks like April 18-20 is working best! So MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!!! I just haven't heard from Clark & Leah.......so if you guys check this will it work for you?!? :) Hope so! (and Seth...I know it's hard to get back to the states often, but if it would work for you to come, we'd be thrilled!)

Also...we will most likely rent the Pea princess as well. (the guest house in front of Queen's Cottage - for more rooms) I'll let you all know the total for the weekend as soon as I get them.

Colorado

Aaron and I are enjoying our vacation in Colorado. Getting some much needed R&R. Friday and Saturday we met up with some friends in Winter Park and thought I'd share a cool video of Aaron doing a jump on the mountain. Emily also took some beautiful footage of the mountains while waiting for Aaron to get the courage to try...though you'll see he did a great job. Our only regret is that there's no noise....he had a great scream!
We'll post a few more pics once we get home.

3rd Annual Hoffmann Cousin's Weekend!!

Well everyone, we had a great time at breakfast, and it was great to be with you Seth & Leah! We (on the girls' end anyway) were talking about our weekend getaway and dates, so here's a list of dates: either comment on each weekend that would work for you or email me.

It's just great to be together! If any of you want to check out the Beachwalk website, ( www.beachwalkresort.com ) look up under rentals the 'Eastern Shore' and it's guest house 'Shore Side'. This is another option I noticed that has similar bedroom set-ups. But I don't know the layout. I've gotta admit, there's nothing like Queen's Cottage =) But here's another option: =) www.warrenwoodsinn.com This is under the same ownership as Grand Beach Inn (where the whole fam went last labor day) It's in Union Pier, MI - approx. 6 miles into Michigan, so not too far from Michigan City, IN. Rumor Has It...

Hi all!
We here in Bluffton have caught wind of a nasty (o: rumor that has been circulating Central Illinois. So, to clear it all up: Seth is not getting announced while he is home from Mexico. We didn't want the cousins to be terribly disappointed while eating out with Seth Saturday morning. Unfortunately the rumor is not true, but we all (including Seth) got a good laugh out of it! Thanks

Jack & Emitt Meet...

Christa & Jack visited last week. It was fun seeing them! My mom & I could not believe how BIG Jack is getting (esp compared to Emitt). He is so cute. He sits up on his own and smiles alot! Looks like he is going to have a pretty laid-back disposition. Mom talking to Jack

Everything is going well for us. Emitt is still a good baby (although he is getting pretty spoiled). He gets held ALOT by family, visitors, and us!

Josh's Game

I just thought I'd share the name of Josh's latest game with Matt. Tonight, he climbed onto Matt's back and then said, "Let's play 'Uncle Mark'!". We had no idea what he was talking about. I said, "How do you play Uncle Mark?" . He said, "You know you say, 'Uncle Mark, get set, Go!'" We got a kick out of it and thought we'd share it with you too!

Emitt Hoffmann...

Hey all! Just wanted to post some pics of Emitt. Everything is going very well so far. He sleeps and eats...that is basically it! I am not complaining-he has been a great baby! We have our week appointment tomorrow to get a check up for him and I am going to get my staples removed. I have been feeling pretty well. Both of our moms have been great at helping me out a ton with cooking, house work, & of course holding Emitt! Maisie doesn't appreciate all the attention Emitt is getting, but she has been pretty nice to him!
