This morning Aaron and I awoke to a blizzard. Giant snow flakes blowing sideways to make the window look like there was a white wall on the other side. Rather discourage that summer will never come we bundled up, cleared off our car and made our way to church. Much to our delight, the afternoon turned into a beautiful spring day, cold but sunny. One beautiful thing about a storm in Chicago is how the Lake Michigan waters get stirred up by the winds. This evening Aaron and I went for a run/walk down by the lake. The waves were huge and very loud.
This is a picture of the lake shore trail....yes I'm sure none of you have ever noticed this beautiful waterfall. As the water crashed onto the trail the water returning to the lake looked like a huge waterfall.
And this is my attempts at being artsy.....it's fun to take pics of the city. I think one of these days I'll make a book of all the seasons of Chicago.Tim and Christa made it safely up here today and we're keeping an eye on their car for them. We're all planning on going out to eat tomorrow evening together. It's great to have them here!
