Whirlwind of a Trip

Hello ladies,
Life's been a bit crazy (the best kind of crazy) the last two weeks. The day after graduation and Aaron and I headed to Toronto with his parents and younger bro. This picture is of Spencer and Aaron laying on the glass floor of the CN tower. Note, those scared of heights don't read the next line...nothing like looking down thousands of feet over the city. Actually I couldn't bring myself to walk on it until Aaron picked me up and put me on it (he had to carry Kristen onto it too!) Toronto is a great place to visit, if you want a fun weekend vacation give us a call we'll give you some tips for there.
Then we headed to the Ozarks with my fam, stopping in Taylor to visit Amber and Tim. We had a great time in the Ozarks skiing, tubing, swimming, laying out...and generally relaxing. Aaron and I were extrememly sore after our successful venture to slolam (spelling?) ski.


Then from there we drove out to Kansas, stopping one night each in Kansas City, Sabetha, and Wichita for church.
Then drove to my parents and are now in Chicago for one of Aaron's classes before heading home to Detroit...whew! It was really nice though meeting his family. Most of them I had either not met at all or only met at the wedding, so it was good to be able to see and visit with them.
Well, hope things are going well with everyone else....I'd love to see some pics or here from you on the blog! Please?

Meet Dr. Plattner

I would like to present Dr. Plattner. Aaron Graduated June 5th and will start his residency on July 1st. We'd appreciate your prayers as we move to Chicago the last week of June.

Moving to Chicago

As you all know (atleast I hope you know). So as we're packing and going though our things we've realized the need to "get rid" of a few things....so thought I'd ask if anyone would want to buy, or is interested in buying. Our TV for sure, it's up for grabs at $50.





Our fireplace tools, they're $30 (or highest bid) if anyone wants them.





And the last thing is my guitar....I'm not sure yet if I really want to sell it, but it would be easier to part with it if I sell it to a family member, if you're interested let me know.

The Winner of the "Nice Calves" Contest!

Who's Calves are Who's???

Okay, this came from Jami and I getting carried away by a joke about Chad having nice calves. So, we decided if people (especially the wives) would be able to pick out their husband's legs. I couldn't fit all the legs on here...so to make it easier, I left out the most obvious...Chad's who "has always had nice legs" (to quote his bro, Clint). So, ladies, can you guess which legs belong to your hubby?

It Was the Lord's Will...

To determine which couple would sleep where, we ended up drawing the name of each couple and placing the folded paper on a bed. We all went as a group from room to room, ceremoniously reaching into the pot and "sprinkling" the paper onto each bed. When all the names had been "sprinkled", Chad yelled, "Go!" and we all ran to a room to find out who got which room. Amazingly, we all went to the room that had our names on the bed...we were sure it was the Lord's will. :) I think these pictures of Chad are so hillarious because they capture how giddy he and all of us were at this point!

Labor Day Week-end!

I'm so glad all of you who could go had such a great time in Michigan. I hope you are all planning to be with the rest of us over Labor Day Week-End. We had a great time this weekend! Missed you, Aaron & Bekah, Klint & Sarah, Leah, Clark & Seth!! I'll have to post pic's later-we left our camera at M&D Kaeb's.

I also wanted to let you all know there is going to be a benefit for my Dad on Saturday, June 23rd. I believe it's from 11-7. (here in Roanoke-at the legion, i think) There will also be a silent auction. Just wanted you all to know! Thanks...love you all!

While it's wonderful to be home, we really did have a great time in India. The Taj Mahal was amazing, well deserving of being a Wonder of the World!


As you can see from these pictures, Aaron and I became fast friends of the kids. Cameron and Aaron were constantly telling jokes back and forth, Cosette and I appropriately laughed, well Cosie actually more appropriately would say "I don't get it!" And then there was Conner, always trying to come up with jokes (he'd make most of them up). His one successful and often said joke was...."Why does Santa have a garden? Cuz he likes to 'Ho, Ho, Ho'" Ha ha...guess you had to be there and hear his little voice saying it.

We love these kids and will miss them immensely. Hope you're all doing well and we'll hopefully see you soon.

Some Pics!

Hi Everyone,

I am FINALLY posting. The first pic is from the FAB 5 weekend we had in Bloomington a few weeks ago. We all stayed in Leslies apartment. It was alot of fun! In the picture, we are looking at old FAB5 pics from when we were babies to now. It was so funny! We laughed so hard because of the things we used to do and wear!

Dad, MOm, Klint & I just got back from MX visting Seth. The rest of the pictures are from our weekend. It was alot of fun. Its always good to be reminded of the constant sacrifices Seth makes. Please pray for him as he is pretty overwhelmed. He is really doing a great job though and I think he did an awesome job translating my dad's sermon on Sunday. (I even video taped 4 mins. of it (o:!!)

We are so sad to miss this weekend and feel terrible skipping out. We hope you all have a great time...post some pictures. Love you all!! Sarah

Hello from India. Yes yes, I had great intentions of keeping you all up to date on our trip to India...but unfortunately the internet service here has been sporadic at best. I've tried uploading pictures several times and this is the first time it's actually worked! Of course, the week we are coming home. So here's two picks, one of us enjoying a reprieve in Dehradun (1:15 hr trip from HCH) at a coffee shop with air conditioning and this second picture is me washing my clothes...what an adventure we have had. It's been a learning experience, but overall I've enjoyed it immensely and will be sad to leave tomorrow.
